White-Label Reports

Learn what Outercite lets you brand as your own, what stays transparent by design, and why the verification pipeline is never hidden from clients.

Agencies sell outcomes, not tools. Outercite's white-label features let you present citation tracking and AI visibility reports under your own brand, while keeping the verification methodology open so clients can trust the numbers.

What you'll learn

  • Which parts of Outercite can be white-labelled
  • What cannot be white-labelled, and why that protects your reputation
  • How to set up branded reports and shared portals for clients

What you can white-label

Reports

Every report generated in Outercite can carry your agency's branding. You can set:

  • Logo: your agency logo appears in the report header and PDF export
  • Colour scheme: primary and accent colours to match your brand guidelines
  • Agency name and contact details: shown in the report footer
  • Custom introduction text: add a short message from your team before the data starts

These settings live at the parent org level and apply as defaults to every workspace. You can override them per workspace if a client has specific branding requirements (for example, if you are producing co-branded reports for a client who wants their own logo alongside yours).

Outgoing emails

When Outercite sends automated report emails or alert notifications to a client viewer, those emails go out from a display name you control. The from-address uses Outercite's sending infrastructure, but the display name ("Acme Digital" rather than "Outercite") and reply-to address are yours to set.

Shared portals

You can generate a read-only shared portal link for any workspace. Send this link to a client and they can view their live citation data, including citation rate, visibility score, and per-engine breakdowns, without logging in to Outercite directly. The portal carries your agency branding and shows no Outercite product chrome.

Shared portal links can be set to expire after a chosen number of days, or kept permanently active. You manage them from the Reports section inside each workspace.

Custom subdomain

Larger agency plans may offer the option to serve the full client-facing experience from a subdomain you control, for example insights.youragency.com. Clients navigate to your domain, see your branding throughout, and have no reason to know the underlying platform is Outercite. Ask your account manager whether this is available on your plan and how to set it up.

What cannot be white-labelled

The verification pipeline methodology

Outercite's verification pipeline is a transparent, documented process. When a report states that a citation was verified, it means the following happened:

  1. The keyword was classified by intent (categories such as local, buying, informational, comparison, and branded, though the exact labels shown in the product may vary)
  2. A model read the full AI response and identified every business mentioned
  3. A second model independently audited those findings
  4. Only citations both models agreed on were counted

This four-step process is described in every report, in plain language. You cannot remove or obscure this section.

This is a deliberate design choice, not a limitation. Clients have been burned by vanity metrics before. When they can see exactly how a citation was verified, and understand that two independent models had to agree, the numbers become trustworthy. That trust reflects on your agency.

The methodology description in reports links to Outercite's public documentation. Clients reading a white-labelled report will see your branding throughout, but they will also see a clear explanation of how the data was produced. They will not see the Outercite product interface unless you grant them a login.

The core product interface

The Outercite dashboard itself (the product your team uses to manage keywords, run audits, and configure alerts) is not white-labelled. Your team logs in to app.outercite.com and sees the standard interface. Only the outputs (reports, emails, portals, subdomain on Enterprise) carry your branding.

AI engine names

Reports always name the six AI engines tracked: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI, Grok, and DeepSeek. You cannot replace these with generic labels. Clients need to know which platforms are being tracked to evaluate the results honestly.

Setting up white-label branding

  1. Go to your parent org settings (accessible from the agency admin menu)
  2. Open the Branding tab
  3. Upload your logo, set your brand colours, and add contact details
  4. Save. These settings become the defaults for all new workspaces immediately

To override branding for a specific workspace, navigate into that workspace, open Settings, and toggle "Use workspace-specific branding". You can then upload a different logo and colour scheme for that client.

If a client workspace has white-label branding enabled and you later archive that workspace, the shared portal links stop working. Regenerate them if you restore the workspace.

Try this in Outercite

Open a client workspace and go to /reports to generate a branded report preview. You can see exactly what your client will receive before you send it.
