Integrations overview
Connect Outercite to Google Search Console, your own tools via API and webhooks, and notification channels like Slack.
Outercite works best when it sits inside your existing workflows. You can pull in traditional search data from Google Search Console, push citation events to your own systems via webhooks, query everything programmatically through the API, and route alerts to the notification channels your team already uses.

What you can connect
Google Search Console
Linking Google Search Console (GSC) adds your organic search data alongside AI citation results. You can then see whether a drop in AI visibility is isolated, or whether it reflects a broader search performance shift. The connection is read-only and takes a few minutes to authorise.
Go to Settings > Integrations to connect GSC.
API access
The Outercite API lets you pull citation data, visibility scores, and competitor snapshots into your own dashboards, scripts, or data warehouse. Authentication uses API keys that you generate in your workspace settings.
Go to Settings > API to generate a key.
Webhooks
Webhooks let Outercite push events to a URL you control the moment something happens: a new citation is verified, a citation is lost, or a competitor's presence surges. No polling required.
Go to Settings > Developer to create and manage webhooks.
Notification routing
Outercite can route alert notifications to external channels, including Slack (where available on your plan). You configure which alerts fire and where they go from the notification and connector settings.
Go to Settings > Notifications or Settings > Connectors to set up routing.
Model Context Protocol (MCP)
The Outercite MCP server lets MCP-compatible AI assistants (such as Claude) query your citation data, competitors, and agency portfolio directly, using the same API key as the API. Ask your assistant about your citation rate or competitors without opening the dashboard.

Settings routes above are the expected locations. If you cannot find a setting, check that your account has the required plan or permissions for that feature.
